Lucy loves the World

This week Lucy really got involved with the world. Here she is looking in the mirror on mom's lap. She absolutely loves the mirror! This week Lucy really wanted a drink of water from my cup and she did great drinking. Then she wanted to try the drinking fountain at church. She loved it! I don't know how much she got. Mostly she just licks like a little dog, but she sure has fun. Yesterday she drank milk from the sippy cup for the first time! Yea! (Mom is sooo excited because Lucy won't take bottles and this means Mom might be able to leave for more than 2 hours!)

We went snowboarding on Friday. David watched Lucy at the Lodge while I enjoyed the fresh air and great snow. It was so much fun to feel like I would still be able to do some of the things I used to love! I am lucky to have a husband like David who encourages me to continue doing all the things I love.

Lucy's last Doctor Checkup

Lucy went to her 4 month checkup on January 12, 2008. She weighed a whopping 16 lb 5 oz which is the 92 %, her height was 25 3/4 inch which is in the 95%! Wow Lucy way to GROW! We, of course, think she is so tall because she is going to be a famous athlete! I just put all her 3-6 month clothes away and pulled out the 6-12 month stuff! They sure grow up fast!

Here she is standing up in her new crib that her cousins gave her for Christmas, (With mom's hand ready to save the day)!

Lucy's First visit to San Diego

We visited San Diego for Christmas, where Lucy had lots of firsts!
We loved the elephants at the zoo! We went to the San Diego Zoo on New years Eve 2007. When we visited the Gorillas Lucy was getting hungry and started saying "ah, ah, ah." Everyone thought she was just trying to imitate the monkeys. It was adorable, until she really started crying because she was hungry.

Lucy loved Moonlight Beach. Here she is in her stroller as we tried to take her on a walk and found out that strollers don't really work on sand. She loved watching the water go back and forth. You can see the gorgeous sunset and tiki hut in the background.

Lucy went to the Birch Aquarium December 28, 2007 and found Dori in this tank. I couldn't believe a little 3 month baby could watch fish so intently. She started crying when I tried to put her to sleep. I couldn't figure out what was wrong. I tried feeding, rocking and everything I could think of. Finally, David just held her up to the tank and she was completely happy. I didn't realize babies already had their own ideas at this age, but she knew she wanted to look at those fish!

Lucy got special attention on her first plane flight. Here she is with captain Ken Macky in the Cockpit. She was a very good baby for her first plane ride!

Thanks for Visiting!
